Volunteers Needed!
We are in need of volunteers for our Junior Achievement (JA) Day!  Our Third through Fifth Grades will have their JA Day on Thursday, December 3rd beginning at 8 a.m.  You do not have to have a student in Third through Fifth Grade to volunteer!  To volunteer please visit the JA Day Volunteers sign-up genius or contact Jennifer Ramirez at 817-698-3900.  Presenting a JA Lesson is easy!  Your lesson plans, time management and materials are all provided for you.  In appreciation of your time spent with us we will provide you with lunch.  All volunteers need to complete a background check before volunteering on campus with students.  The volunteer registration is quick and easy.

What is JA in a Day?
Not familiar with JA in a Day?   JA is an "activity-based, interactive instruction that focuses on entrepreneurship, financial literacy as well as work and college readiness.  JA volunteers bring business relevancy to the classroom and reinforce the value of education.  Volunteers share in real-world experiences to help students broaden their minds and believe in their own capabilities."  To learn about Junior Achievement and the programs provided please visit their website Junior Achievement of Fort Worth.

Volunteer Information Session
Volunteers are invited to attend a training session on Wednesday, November 18 from 8:30-9:30 a.m.  During the training, volunteers will receive packets with lesson plans and materials.  Volunteers will also learn the basics of presenting JA lessons and have an opportunity to meet with our JA advisor and other volunteers to share ideas.  If you are new to JA, it is preferred that you attend the training so that we can answer any questions that you may have.
