Our Power Source

Matthew 19:26 Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."

A couple of days ago, I traveled to Portland for a work conference. When I arrived at the airport, I had no idea that extreme weather conditions would almost double the time required to reach my destination.

This experience taught me a very valuable lesson. As much as we would like to think that we are ... we ARE NOT in control of our lives. Sometimes there are things that ARE impossible for us to change ... things that we can do nothing about in our own power.

At one point of my trip, my phone's battery died. To my dismay, many of the other stranded passengers were facing a similar problem --- they like me had lost their connection to the outside world due to depleted power sources. We were all frantically searching for electrical outlets to recharge our useless devices.

Today's scripture tells us that with God ALL things are possible. We are promised that He can handle ANYTHING that we face --- sickness, financial hardship, worry, anxiety, depression, grief, fear. We are assured that our Power Source will never leave us stranded ... that our connection to Him will never be lost.

My challenge to you is to always know that even in the most severe storms of your life, a connection to God is available to you. He sincerely desires for you to reach out to Him ... to be your source of strength in your times of need. Remember no matter what you are going through, no matter what you are facing, with HIM ALL things ARE possible!

Dear Lord, Help me to remain plugged into You each and everyday of my life in order to fulfill the purposes that You have established just for me.

I thank You Jesus for dying for me. I believe that You are Lord and that God raised You from the grave so that I can have eternal life.

Reflection: Are you relying on God's endless power to remain tapped into all that He has for you?
