Take Action
Acts 12:7 Suddenly an angel of the Lord appeared and a light shone in the cell. He struck Peter on the side and woke him up. "Quick, get up!" he said, and the chains fell off Peter's wrists.

Living in an apartment has been quite an adjustment. The biggest change for me has been the necessity of having the key to the front door readily available whenever we drive up to our "new" home. For many years, we did not have to worry about carrying a key to gain entrance into our house. We just had to open our garage door using the control that remained in our car.
Now, we need a key to enter our home ... a key to unlock the door that stands between the parking lot and our "new" environment. Wouldn't it be totally ridiculous if we would not take the necessary action of opening the door once the door was unlocked?
Today's scripture was one of the scriptures that Beverly Bilbo touched upon last night at her annual Women's Conference. As she was speaking, I sadly realized that many individuals do what we would deem to be ludicrous .... they stand in the self-imposed parking lot of their circumstances rather than walking through the open door of provision that God has provided for them.
Apostle Peter, who was chained to two guards in prison, chose to GET UP and walk toward the freedom that God was offering him ... the opportunity to be free of the chains that had held him bound. My challenge to you today is to grab hold to the freedom that Christ is offering you. TAKE ACTION ... break free of ANYTHING that is holding you back from walking through the open door of the amazing things that God has planned for you.
Dear Lord, I thank you for Your provision. Help me to break free of those things that are holding me back from enjoying the freedom that is available in You.
I thank You, my Jesus, for dying for me. I believe that You are Lord and that God raised You from the grave so that I can have eternal life.
Reflection: Am I hanging out in the parking lot of my circumstances rather than walking through the open door of opportunity that God has provided for me?
