God's Grace or God's Glory

Romans 6:1-2 ... should we keep on sinning so that God can show us more and more of His wonderful Grace? Of course not!! Since we have died to sin, how can we continue to live in it?

I haven't always comprehended why my son, Gabriel, is so anxious to be with me when it's our time together! Sure we have great times but as cool as our relationship is --- I don't let up on disciplining him. In fact, I'm often quite strict. However, Gabe has realized that even though I can be tough on him my grace is always sure to follow! He knows that I can never stay angry with him!

Thankfully, as our Heavenly Father, God offers His Grace to us, His children. Although I am certainly grateful that it's limitless, I do not believe that we should take advantage of His grace like someone with a time machine? Someone that can just repeatedly go back in time to fix past errors.

Think about this ... how much Glory does God get in the eyes of others when we keep doing the same thoughtless things over and over again? Can others see God moving mightily in our lives if we continue sinning without conviction? Are our lives Godly examples to them ... to God?

My challenge to you is to start living your life in such a way to show others the difference that God has made in your life. Know that the change that they see in you could be the catalyst for them to make changes in their lives ... to experience God's Grace for themselves.

Dear Lord, Please help me to remember that my sin died along with You on the cross and that I don't have to live in sin anymore! Let there be more of Your Glory for others to see through my life rather than more of Your Grace shown onto me!

I thank You, my Jesus, for dying for me. I believe that You are Lord and that God raised You from the grave so that I can have eternal life.

Reflection: Are you living a life that shines with His Glory?
