Are You Aware?

 

John 14:10 - Don't you believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me? The words I say to you I do not speak on My own authority. Rather, it is the Father, living in Me, who is doing His work.

 

 

 

In my 31 years I have heard people say things like, "You are just like your dad!" or "You remind me of your mother." This is because I am made up of two bloodlines! 

 

Whatever your biological bloodline is, as a Christian, you have the blood of Christ coursing through your veins as well! We have been adopted into the family of God which means that we have the ability to do as Jesus did, speak as Jesus spoke, serve as Jesus served and love as Jesus loved! We have been presented with the opportunity to replicate Him and stand out in a lost world!

 

I encourage you to ask yourself the following: What do I talk about at work or with my friends? How do I respond when I am away from home? Are the movies I watch and music I listen to acceptable to God? Am I encouraging and uplifting in my faith or do I speak defeat? Do I treat my spouse and children with encouragement or do I point out their faults? 

 

Hopefully, you see my point in these questions .... people ARE watching at ALL times!

 

2 Corinthians 3:18 states, "We are being transformed into His image with EVER-INCREASING GLORY, which comes from the LORD, who is the SPIRIT! Have people seen a transformation in you? I challenge you today to strive for others to say, "You know, there IS something DIFFERENT about you - you are reminding me more and more of your Heavenly Father!

 

Dear Lord, Please help me to BE AWARE of the areas that I fall short in. Help me to BE AWARE of the things that I do that DON'T bring glory to You? 

 

I thank You, my Jesus, for dying for me. I believe that You are Lord and that God raised You from the grave so that I can have eternal life.
