I KNOW
Mark 10:15 Truly I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it.
I have a very confident five year old. If I tell him he's handsome, I'll get a sweet grin and "I know" as a response. If I ask him if he thinks we love him, I'll get a "well YEAH!"
There is NO doubt in his mind that he's loved and that he's downright awesome. Unfortunately, at times, something happens to us somewhere between that age and adulthood. Life happens.
We are told things that contradict what God has to say about us, and we start to believe them. But what if we walked around every day in the confidence of how God feels about us just like a five year old?
You are PRECIOUS. (Isaiah 43:4)
I know.
You are VALUABLE. (Matthew 6:26)
I know.
You are LOVED. (John 3:16)
I know.
You are CHERISHED. (Deuteronomy 7:6)
I know.
Can you imagine the joy that life would produce In KNOWING that the CREATOR of the universe LOVES you with a REAL, UNFAILING love? Grasping His love the way a child does would make us unstoppable. To KNOW, beyond any doubt, no matter what comes your way, you are LOVED. It can change everything.
I challenge you to read more of what the Bible says about how God feels about us, His children.
Dear Lord, I come to You today like a child to his/her Father. Help me to see myself as You see me. I ask You to replace the words I've heard that tell me I'm inadequate or insignificant. Replace the lies with Your truth.
Thank You for loving me enough to send Your Son to die so that I can live. I believe that You are Lord and God raised You from the dead so that I can have eternal life.
Reflection: Do you KNOW how much He loves you?
