What's the Worst that Could Happen?

1 Timothy 6:12  Fight the good fight for the true faith. Hold tightly to the eternal life to which God has called you, which you have confessed so well before many witnesses.

The Word says FIGHT the GOOD fight! Let's face it ... life CAN feel like one big boxing match at times! However, I believe that it's vital for Christians to respond to that bell each and every round! If we coil away into the corner because of fear, what does that say about our faith? Have we put God on a shelf, in a box or anywhere else other than in our circumstance?

If we are confessing that we have eternal life in Heaven, why are we sweating the "small" stuff?  Please realize that I am not overshadowing anyone's situation because I know that many individuals are facing much pain and suffering.  I am only encouraging you to seriously think about what we have been promised ... we are assured that all of our pain IS temporary and that we will even be REWARDED at the end of this life!

So why then do we often find ourselves consumed by fear? Instead of allowing yourself to succumb to fear, focus on the fact that no matter how hard this life can be....the worst thing that can EVER happen to you ... separation from God for ALL of eternity in hell ... CAN'T HAPPEN TO YOU!

Realize that if you have accepted Christ as your Lord and Savior, the worst will never come to be!  Understand that He not only made the biggest sacrifice known to man but by accepting Him in your life ... you are prevented from having to endure the absolute worst thing known to man!

I challenge each and every believer to keep in mind and to keep in your heart that while, yes it COULD always be worst....IT WON'T BE!!

Dear Lord, I'm so grateful for what lies ahead after this life is over. While I know that I have so much life in me to live amongst my family, friends and shared believers, I am certain that in my next chapter ... the best is yet to come!

Thank you my Jesus, for dying for me. I believe that You are Lord and that God raised You from the grace so that I can have eternal life!

Reflection: How often do you forget that God has separated you from the worst possible outcome?
