Stretched

Lamentations 3:22-23 The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.

I recently found out that we're having another baby! We are very thrilled and have been hoping and praying for a baby for several months.

For my first pregnancy, it took a while before I began to show. This time around though, I am already noticing a small baby bump. My doctor said that this is very normal. On the second and third pregnancies, a woman's body is already prepared to house a baby.

The body knows, "I've done this once, and I'm ready to do it again."

So often, we find ourselves in situations in life where we could easily become overwhelmed because we feel as if we're facing the same challenges again and again.

I challenge you today to recall all of the times that God has shown His faithfulness. There are times that all of our faith has been stretched. However, when we are faithful in that stretching process the first time, we are able to respond quicker and more effectively the next time we are in a similar situation. We are able to draw strength from all the other occasions He has proven Himself strong in our lives.

Never despise the "stretching" process. Trust God that He is preparing you for greatness.

Dear Lord, Give me strength to trust Your plan for me. Even when I am being stretched, help me to understand that You are preparing me for something great!

I thank You Jesus for dying for me. I believe that You are Lord and that God raised You from the grave so that I can have eternal life.

Reflection: Have I put all my trust and hope in God?
