Superhero or Little Boy?

1 Corinthians 11:1 And you should imitate me, just as I imitate Christ.

I do realize that I often use stories of my son as inspiration for the daily devotion, but that is just the stage of life that I am currently in. I tend to see inspiration in everything...especially my toddler.

Having said that, my son does not like washing his hands after using the "potty." (Don't worry ... we DO enforce this rule at all times.) However, recently when asked why he had to wash his hands, I asked him a question rather than answering the one he had posed to me.

I asked, "Are you a superhero or a little boy?" I explained that superheroes wash their hands but little boys often do not. That day, he proudly washed his hands!

My toddler realized that WHO he is should be reflective of his behavior.

So ... my question to you today is, "Who are you and how does your answer to this quesion impact your behavior?"

If we are children of God, then we should live as children of God.  As professing Christians, we should be Christ-Like. Do your actions, words and thoughts reflect those of Jesus Christ?

If you are married, does your devotion to your spouse reflect that of what God intended for a Godly marriage. If you are a parent, do your parenting skills reflect the same love that God has for us as His children.

I challenge you to consider five major roles in your life (Ex. Christian, Spouse, Parent, Employee, and Child) and determine IF your attitude, behavior and relationships in these areas truly reflect the power of God in your life.

Dear Lord, Help me to always live up to the great call that You have for my life and to reflect You in ALL things!

I thank You Jesus for dying for me. I believe that You are Lord and that God raised You from the grave so that I can have eternal life. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

Reflection: Am I truly reflecting a Christ-Like life?
