The Days AFTER Easter

Acts 5:42 Day after day, in the temple courts and from house to house, they never stopped teaching and proclaiming the good news that Jesus is the Messiah.

Have you ever been amazed with the significance of every word in the Bible? For instance, I once read that Jesus was hung on a cross between two thieves to illustrate the two choices that are available to us ... to accept Him or to reject Him.  Sadly, many individuals make the same  decision that one of the thieves made ... they fail to respond to His call to follow Him, to share His offer of eternal salvation with all that they encounter.

Today's scripture describes the choice that Jesus' disciples made for all of their days after that glorious Easter Sunday when they discovered that Jesus had risen from the grave ... that He was indeed ALIVE.  Despite the life-threatening consequences, they NEVER STOPPED teaching and proclaiming the good news that Jesus is the Messiah.  They understood that the resurrection of Jesus was an event that would impact their future as well as the futures of all of those they could reach.

My challenge to you today is to accept Jesus' call on your life to share all that you know about His birth, His death, and His resurrection.  Always realize that by being a witness for Him you are making an eternal impact on your life as well as on the lives of those that you touch.

Dear Lord, Help me to live a life of celebration knowing that because You lived I can now have eternal life.  Allow others to see You in me creating a desire in their hearts to have You in their lives.

I thank You, my Jesus, for dying for me. I believe that You are Lord and that God raised You from the grave so that I can have eternal life.

Reflection: What are your plans for all of your days after Easter to share the gift of salvation that is available to everyone through a relationship with Jesus?
