Peep, Peep, Peep
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.
On Sunday in our church, we shared a video of three little "Peeps" chickens (precious toddlers dressed in costumes) encouraging church members to invite their "Peeps" to church. Then, we handed out "Peeps" candy to all guests on their way out.
Some statistics say that approximately 80% of the people you know will accept an invitation to church. It may not be on the first invite, but eventually, they'll accept that invitation.
Since Easter Sunday is the most well-attended church service of the year, I am certain you could easily think of people in your life who could benefit from being in an Easter service ... individuals who could truly benefit from a touch from God.
My challenge for you today is to identify family and friends that you can invite to church on this Sunday ... Easter Sunday. Offer to pick them up if necessary. Your effort could have an eternal impact on their lives.
Jesus endured an incredible, indescribable amount of pain and suffering so that we can experience forgiveness and spend eternity with Him. Surely, stepping out of our comfort zones to invite those we know and love to church should be easy...especially upon reflection of His abundant love for us!
Just maybe - the invitation you need to extend is one to yourself. If it's been a while since you've attended church, it's okay. Just take the step and go ... invite a friend as well. God is always waiting for us with open arms!
Dear Lord, Thank You for Your faithfulness. Please give me the words to say to invite those I love to church with me!
I thank You, my Jesus, for dying for me. I believe that You are Lord and that God raised You from the grave so that I can have eternal life.
Reflection: Who can I call today to invite to church with me this Sunday?
P.S. Here's the cute video we shared.

Feel free to share it with your church family. And of course, if you do not have a church home, you're always welcome to join us Sundays at 10am at the AMC Palace (www.crosschurchhouma.com) |
