No Reason to Fear - He is Always with You!

Joshua 1:9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.

According to researchers who have studied the myth that it takes 21 days to create a new habit, the number of days required actually DEPENDS upon the person.  It has been determined that the critical element of success is repetition.

In order for us to break a habit or create a new habit, we must consciously work on doing so until this action becomes an automatic response.  Without a daily focus on the desired behavior, it is very easy to slip into our old ways.

Today's scripture encourages us to be strong and courageous - not to be afraid - because God will be with us wherever we go.  Did you know that God repeated this encouragement 365 times in the Bible?  Think about this ... 365 times is a daily reminder from God to live a life without fear!

My challenge to you is to avoid allowing fear to rob you of the comfort that is available in knowing that God is always with you ... that He will never leave or forsake you.  There is no reason to fear ... BECAUSE ... He is always with you!

Dear Lord, Thank You for providing a daily reminder of Your promise to protect me and to always be with me. Help me to choose not to fear regardless of what comes my way.

I thank You, my Jesus, for dying for me. I believe that You are Lord and that God raised You from the grave so that I can have eternal life.

Reflection:  Is casting fear out of your life a natural response for you ... a habit that you have developed?
