Meet Together - God Says So!
Hebrews 10:24-25 Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.
Last night, we hosted a marriage small group meeting in our home, and we had a blast! My parents happened to be in the group as well, and my mom immediately called me saying she couldn't remember the last time she laughed THAT hard.
The group was very diverse including engaged couples, newlyweds, and married "veterans."
As I listened to everyone speak, I was inspired not only by their passion for one another but also their "realness." We all laughed as the men teamed up asking the women to give them only one task at a time. They all agreed that they are capable of getting 20 things done but begged that the ladies please not tell them those 20 things at once.
Although this is a light example of real-life situations, sometimes, it's easy to think we're the only ones who face a particular challenge in life. More than likely though, we're not. Today's verse encourages us as believers to make time to get together and motivate and encourage one another.
When we are faithful to make time to fellowship, we are able to connect on a level that inspires us to be our very best!
I challenge you today to make a point to surround yourself with people who love God and will motivate you for greatness.
Dear Lord, Thank You for creating laughter and friendship to guide us through our lives. Help us to always inspire one another.
I thank You, my Jesus, for dying for me. I believe that You are Lord and that God raised You from the grave so that I can have eternal life.
Reflection: Do I have people in my life that I can love, laugh and share my burdens with?
