Luke 11:9-10 And so I tell you, keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find...For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds.
During our recent trip to Texas, my husband lost his cell phone while walking in the woods. After a quick unsuccessful search, he remembered that he could use the Find iPhone app on my cell phone to locate his phone.
Unfortunately ... once he came back to the house to get my cell phone, we discovered that his phone was OFFLINE. Now, what were we going to do without GPS???
Rather than becoming discouraged, we decided to do what today's scripture encourages us to do - we joined hands and PRAYED! We turned to our all-knowing God for assistance.
Upon going back into the woods to retrace his steps, my husband spotted a rabbit. Normally, rabbits are skittish and hop off when discovered, but this one did not. When my husband was only a yard or so from the rabbit, the rabbit finally retreated into the woods.
Unbelievably, next to where the rabbit had been standing, my husband saw his cell phone. The rabbit had led him directly to it!
My challenge to you today is to always lift up your needs to God. Never cease to believe that God DOES answer our prayers and to be amazed at how He does it. As in my husband's situation, He can even use a rabbit!!!
Dear Lord, Thank You for Your promise to answer my prayers and for knowing the best way to respond. Help me to recognize Your response even when it does not resemble the way that I envisioned it to be answered.
I also thank You, my Jesus, for dying for me. I believe that You are Lord and that God raised You from the grave so that I can have eternal life.
Reflection: Have you possibly overlooked an answer to one of your prayers because you did not receive the answer in the way that you expected it to be answered?
