What is Your Part?

1 Corinthians 12:27  All of you together are Christ's body, and each of you is a part of it.

When my husband asked me to accompany him to Texas for a few days, my answer was a "maybe." I knew that he had my best interests in mind...that he wanted me to have time to recuperate from my arm injury...that he wanted me to just relax. BUT ...??? I also understood that we had a commitment to our Church each Sunday.

Since our services are held in a movie theater, we are needed to set up before service and tear down once it is over. This means that ALL members of the set-up crew are needed ... necessary to complete the mighty purpose God has for this ministry. As today's scripture reveals, we all have our part in Christ's body. We are all essential.

Thankfully, arrangements were made to have other individuals replace us, and we were able to take our trip. Through these individuals' willingness to do their part, our Church service went on as scheduled.

My challenge to you today is to find your place ... your role ... your part in the ministry God has placed you. Always know that there are no insignificant services to God. Every part matters to Him. Keep in mind that by serving others, you are actually serving God!

Dear Lord, I thank You for the ministry that You have placed me in. Help me to always fulfill my part ... knowing that all I do is actually done unto You!

I also thank You, my Jesus, for dying for me. I believe that You are Lord and that God raised You from the grave so that I can have eternal life.

Reflection: Are there any areas of need in your Church that you could fulfill?
