Are You Making a Difference?

1 John 3:18  Dear children, let's not merely say that we love each other; let us show the truth by our actions.

I recently came across a very interesting online quiz. The directions for the first part of the quiz consisted of listing the ten wealthiest men in the world, the eight individuals who have won the Nobel prize, the last ten Academy Award winners for best picture, and the last decade's worth of World Series winners. Although all of these individuals have accomplished noteworthy achievements, it is very difficult to recall their names.

On the other hand, the second part of the quiz was much easier. The directions for this part were to name three people you enjoy spending time with, ten people who have taught you something worthwhile, five friends who have helped you in a difficult time, and a few teachers who aided your journey through high school. The second part of the quiz is easier because these individuals personally impacted your life OR were personally touched by you.

Today's scriptures remind us of the importance of showing our love to others rather than just speaking the words. My challenge to you is to MAKE A DIFFERENCE in the lives of others by allowing God's love to shine brightly through YOUR actions all the days of your life!

Dear Lord, I thank You for the opportunities that You place in my life to be used by You - to MAKE A DIFFERENCE in their lives!

I thank You, my Jesus, for dying for me. I believe that You are Lord and that God raised You from the grave so that I can have eternal life.

Reflection: Are you demonstrating His love for others through your actions?
