The Same .... Always and Forever!

Malachi 3:6 I am the Lord, and I do not change.

Along with the news that my MRI scan revealed a fractured shoulder, my doctor informed me that I must begin therapy ASAP. Since my daughter - an occupational therapist - had accompanied me to obtain the results of the MRI, ASAP meant that very night!

Now, anyone who has experienced any sort of injury could probably attest to the pain that is associated with the start of a therapy treatment plan. After about one minute of AGONY - well, maybe agony is a little too strong of a word, I ordered her to stop ... told her that I had enough for one night!

My daughter asked me in an exasperated manner if this was the way that I would act during my first therapy session at the clinic. I quickly stated that I certainly wouldn't act like that with another therapist ... I would be compliant!

Later that evening, I began to reflect on today's scripture. We are so fortunate to serve a God who never changes. Unlike me who readily acknowledged that I would alter my behavior in a different setting, our God can be counted on to remain the same.

My challenge to you today is to always realize that God's affection for you will never change - that He will always love you just as much as He did at the foundation of the earth!

Dear Lord, I thank You for Your promise that You will never change ... will always be by my side .... AND, most importantly will love me forever.

I also thank You, my Jesus, for dying for me. I believe that You are Lord and that God raised You from the grave so that I can have eternal life.

Reflection: Can your loved ones count on your love for them remaining the same?
