What Is Your Donkey? Matthew 21:2-3 "Go to the village ahead of you, and at once you will find a donkey tied there with her colt by her. Untie them and bring them to Me. If anyone says anything to you, say that the Lord needs them, and he will send them right away."
Have you ever reflected on your role in furthering God's Kingdom?
In today's scripture, Jesus tells the Apostles exactly where they would find the donkey that He would ride upon to make His Triumphal Entry into Jerusalem AND what to say if the owner questioned them - "If anyone says anything to you, say that the Lord needs them, and he will send them right away."
I believe that providing the donkey for Jesus to ride upon was ONE of the purposes that this unnamed man was born to fulfill ... BUT I am certain it was not his only one. Likewise, we also have a number of "donkeys" to give to the King!
My challenge to you is to willingly give that SOMETHING to God when presented with the opportunity to do so. Your "donkey" may be caring for the babies in the church nursery, writing out a check to meet someone's need, cooking a meal for a sick neighbor ... The important thing is to recognize the need and then to do SOMETHING about it.
Dear Lord, My desire is to be used by You. Help me to always see and respond to the needs of others.
I thank You, my Jesus, for dying for me. I believe that You are Lord and that God raised You from the grave so that I can have eternal life. Reflection: Are you willing to give of your time, your finances, your talents to further His Kingdom? |
