Low Battery
2 Timothy 4:2 .... Be prepared in season and out of season.
Just as I have run out of gas on a couple of occasions, I have also run out of battery life while working on my iPad or speaking to someone on my cell phone. Now, was I given a LOW BATTERY warning? Of course, I received one, but I chose to ignore the warning ... I thought that I would be ok!
How many times do we do the same thing in our personal lives? We allow our spiritual batteries to run dry by our failure to fill up with God's Word on a consistent basis. Today's scripture tells us that we should be prepared in season AND out of season. If our spiritual batteries are not kept charged, we will miss out on the wonderful opportunities that God puts in our path. We will run out of His power in the times that we need it most.
My encouragement to you today is to keep your faith battery fully charged in order to be ready in season as well as out of season to do His will. Time each day spent in His Word and in prayer will keep you powered up for anything that comes your way.
Dear Lord, Help me to turn to You when I need my faith battery recharged. Thank You for being the source of all power in my life.
I also thank You, my Jesus, for dying for me. I believe that You are Lord and that God raised You from the grave so that I can have eternal life.
Reflection: What are the warning signs in your life that your faith battery is in need of recharging?
