Adjust Your Perspective 

 

Philippians 4:12  I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well-fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want.

   

I came across a very interesting post on the internet a few days ago - "Feeling Disappointment? Replace the "D" with an "H" and it becomes His Appointment!" It is often impossible for us to envision a happy ending to our trying situations.  In today's verses, Apostle Paul encourages us to turn to God for the strength that we need to get through these difficult times.

 

My challenge to you when faced with what seems to be a negative situation is to ADJUST YOUR PERSPECTIVE and choose to see it positively.  I know firsthand that this is difficult to do when we are in the midst of a storm.  However, just as the blue skies and bright sun will again shine no matter the intensity of a weather-related storm, our personal storms will also end. We just need to wholeheartedly trust God in the midst of them!

 

Dear Lord, Help me to adjust my perspective when faced with what seems to be a negative situation. Let me embrace what is and approach each day with thankfulness for the life You have given to me.

 

I thank You, my Jesus, for dying for me. I believe that You are Lord and that God raised You from the grave so that I can have eternal life.
