I was recently speaking to someone who is going through a rough time and is not going to church. During our conversation, I encouraged this person to find a church and to start attending on a regular basis.

I once read that the most effective tool for church growth is a simple invitation by a church member to an acquaintance. According to research, most people come to church because of a personal invitation. In fact, 82% of individuals who are not attending church are likely to attend if invited.

Today's scripture clearly supports the research on the importance of sharing our faith. As stated in this verse, how else will someone get to know Jesus UNLESS they are introduced to Him? My challenge to you today is to GO AND TELL someone about all that Jesus did for you ... all that He could do for them. Then, I encourage you to take the next important step ... invite that person to church! It could change their eternity!

Dear Lord, My desire is to bring others to Your saving grace. Help me to recognize and act on every opportunity that comes my way.

I thank You, my Jesus, for dying for me. I believe that You are Lord and that God raised You from the grave so that I can have eternal life.

Reflection:  Identify two individuals who would benefit from an invitation to your church and devise a plan to make this a reality.
