What Could You Do With a Few Minutes Each Day?
Galatians 6:9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
I recently read an article about a middle-aged man who always wanted to play the guitar. When given a guitar as a gift by his family, he committed twenty minutes a day to achieve this dream. Surprisingly, in a short amount of time, his newly learned skill was bringing joy and laughter to his home as his family began singing along to the songs that he was learning.
Today's scripture reminds us that we can reap a harvest if we do not give up. This man's harvest was the realization of a life-long dream ... a dream achieved through the investment of only a few minutes each day!
Many of us have unrealized dreams due to a multitude of reasons. If a lack of time is the reason for not pursuing your dream, my challenge to you is to carefully examine your daily schedule to identify a little chunk of time that could be designated to this endeavor. Just as an elephant is eaten ONE bite at a time, your dream can be achieved through a commitment of only a FEW MINUTES EACH DAY!
Dear Lord, You teach us in Your Word that Your grace is sufficient every day. I thank You for Your offer of grace in my times of weariness. Help me to always keep my eyes focused on the harvest that is available to me if I do not give up.
I also thank You, my Jesus, for dying for me. I believe that You are Lord and that God raised You from the grave so that I can have eternal life.
Reflection: Are there any time wasters in your life that you could eliminate to help you achieve your dream?
