Make a Way

Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.

I have been totally amazed to watch the progress of a house being built on what I considered to be a small, oddly-shaped lot in my daughter's neighborhood. When the initial construction began, I assumed it would be a modest home because there was NO WAY for anything else to fit on that tiny parcel of land. Surprisingly, the house is HUGE ... in fact, it is possibly one of the larger ones in the entire neighborhood.

Today's scripture cautions us to put our trust in God rather than relying on our own understanding. Sadly, just as I would have never imagined that a house of such magnitude could be built on that particular lot, many of us fail to fully trust that God can MAKE A WAY in our impossible situations.

My challenge to you today is always realize that God knows what He's doing .... knows what is best for you ... AND can see the end result. He promises to make our paths straight ... We just have to TRUST Him to do so!

Dear Lord,  Keep me from allowing my circumstances to overwhelm me.  Help me to always trust in your ability to take care of me.

I thank You, my Jesus for dying for me. I believe that You are Lord and that God raised You from the grave so that I can have eternal life.

Reflection: Is there something in your life that you need to put your full trust in God to work it out in His way ... the way that it should be handled?
