Living in His Presence

Romans 8:38 And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God's love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow...

One of my former students recently went on to be with The Lord. This beautiful woman ... a wife, a mother, a daughter, a sister, a friend, a teacher ... possessed a strong faith that was a true inspiration to those she encountered ... a faith that remained even in her most difficult trials.

Now, she can spend eternity in Heaven ... in His presence.

Today's verse says that nothing can separate us from God's love. While this is true, sadly, much can separate us from His presence... IF we allow it to.

My student could have allowed her illness to come between her and her relationship with God, but she did not. Others could allow anger, fear, sin, and countless other obstacles to separate them from their Savior.

However, nothing could hinder your relationship with God, unless you allow it to.

My challenge to you today is to live your life in such a way that you are always in His presence. Never allow anything between you and God... between you and eternity with Him!

Dear Lord, I thank You for Your unconditional love. Help me to always live a life in Your presence.

I thank You, my Jesus, for dying for me. I believe that You are Lord and that God raised You from the grave so that I can have eternal life.

Reflection: Are you allowing anything to separate you from God's presence?
