We ARE Royalty

Romans 8:17 Since we are His children, we will share His treasures -- for everything God gives to His Son, Christ, is ours, too. But if we are to share His glory, we must also share His suffering.

A  friend once jokingly told me that her parents always treated her as their princess, BUT her husband surely didn't get the memo when they got married - lol! Although she does have a happy marriage and a wonderful family, I could detect that deep down she still longs at times to be the princess of her childhood.

Today's scripture reveals two very important truths. First of all, since we are God's children, we are part of His royal family. We ARE His princesses and princes ... We ARE Royalty! However, in the second part of the scripture, we learn that as members of His family and heirs to His heavenly treasures, we WILL encounter painful difficulties --- just as Jesus did while He was on Earth.

My challenge to you today is fully realize that although being a member of His royal family does not exempt you from hard times in this lifetime, it does give you complete assurance for your eternity -a permanent state of living happily ever after in His HEAVENLY Kingdom.

Dear Lord, I thank You for adopting me as Your child and for the privilege of one day inheriting the treasure of eternal life with You.

I thank You, my Jesus, for dying for me. I believe that You are Lord and that God raised You from the grave so that I can have eternal life.

Reflection: Are there any areas in your life that are not reflective of your royalty?
