An Open Book

Psalm 139:1  Lord, You have seen what is in my heart. You know all about me.

On my first visit to my "new" family physician, I was amazed at how much of my vital information can be so easily accessed.  Since this doctor is affiliated with the same hospital as was my recently retired family physician, the receptionist was able to pull up LOTS of my personal information, AND the doctor was able to access my previous tests results.

As I reflected on this, I was reminded of today's scripture.  Just as the individuals in the medical field have our medical background at their disposal ... God has complete access to what is in our heart ... things that we don't mind sharing with Him as well as the things we would prefer to keep hidden.  Our lives are an OPEN BOOK to Him.

My encouragement to you today is to ask God for forgiveness for anything that you are still holding on to. After all, you cannot hide anything from Him ... He knows everything about you.  Accept His offer to be washed clean ... an offer that has been made available to you at a great price - His life!

Dear Lord, It is comforting to know that You love me unconditionally even with all of my bumps and bruises.  Help me to always realize that I do not have to hide anything from You ... that through repentance I am forgiven.

I thank You, my Jesus, for dying for me. I believe that You are Lord and that God raised You from the grave so that I can have eternal life.

Reflection: Are you taking full advantage of His offer to remove your sins as far as the east is from the west?
