Make the Most of TODAY

Psalm 118:24 This is The day the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it.

Wouldn't today's scripture be a great wake-up announcement every morning - "This is the day the Lord has made! Rejoice and be glad in it!" Can you imagine having this resounding throughout the halls of our homes?

If we would be awakened each and every morning in this manner, I am certain this would result in feelings of great anticipation for what each day has in store for us.

James 4:13-14 reminds us that we do not know what the future holds: "Now listen, you who say, 'Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money.' Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow."

Since we do not know what tomorrow will hold, my challenge to you is to grab hold to your TODAY and make the most of every moment! I once read that good lives are built ... ONE good day at a time. Rejoice ... Be glad ... And strive to accumulate as many of these good days as possible! After all, your destiny depends upon it!

Dear Lord, Thank You for Your gift of each new day. Help me to fulfill the plans that You have established for me in the time that You have so graciously provide for me.

I thank You, my Jesus, for dying for me. I believe that You are Lord and that God raised You from the grave so that I can have eternal life.

Reflection: What would you do if you knew that today would be the very last day of your life?
