You Can Handle It .... With His Help

2 Corinthians 12:8-9 Three different times I begged the Lord to take it away. Each time He said, "My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness." So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.

Have you ever wondered if you could handle a certain situation in your life - one that seems to be so difficult ... so discouraging ... so terrifying? We are told in the Bible that God will not give us any burdens that we cannot handle. I believe that many of us would readily agree with Mother Theresa's response to this truth, "I know, but sometimes I just wish He didn't think so highly of me."

In today's scripture, Apostle Paul reveals that he begged The Lord to take away his "thorn in the flesh" three times. Tough times can challenge us, can shape our character, and, most importantly, can offer opportunities to draw closer to God. We are brought to the point of total reliance in Him.

My challenge to you today is to fully trust that God will provide for your needs and believe that YOU CAN HANDLE IT (whatever your "IT" may be) ... WITH HIS HELP. Always remember as Paul stated, His power works best in our weakness!

Dear Lord, Thank you for Your willingness to provide all that I need in every situation. I desire to be an effective witness of Your power in my life.

I also thank You, my Jesus, for dying for me. I believe that You are Lord and that God raised You from the grave so that I can have eternal life.

Reflection: How have your tough times shaped your life?
