God CAN Handle Our Mountains
Mark 11:22-24 "Have faith in God," Jesus answered. "Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them."
I know of several individuals who are currently experiencing circumstances that appear to be hopeless ... that have the potential to rob them of their hope. In these situations, the most critical course of action is to hold on to the belief that GOD CAN HANDLE OUR MOUNTAINS!
Jesus knew that we were going to be faced with terrible problems. He is telling us in today's scripture that through prayer and faith, we can free ourselves from the mountain of fear that we are holding on to, the mountain of worry that is consuming us, the mountain of doubt that is causing us to question God's power.
My challenge to you today is realize that God is in control of every situation we face. By letting go and letting God handle our problems, we give Him His rightful place in our lives ... we acknowledge His power!
Dear Lord, I am so grateful for Your offer to cast my worries on You. Help me to recognize that through faith my prayers WILL be answered. I desire to never doubt in Your ability to protect me.
I thank You, my Jesus, for dying for me. I believe that You are Lord and that God raised You from the grave so that I can have eternal life.
Reflection: Do you have a mountain that you are facing that needs to be cast into sea ... never to be retrieved???
