We Are Powerful Through Him

Ephesians 3:20 Now all glory to God, Who is able, through His mighty POWER at work WITHIN US, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.

I recently caught parts of a familiar childhood movie on television - The Wizard of Oz. While watching, I began to reflect on Dorothy's ruby slippers ... the key to the power to bring her home. Although Dorothy possessed this power in this fictional movie, her lack of understanding of the potential of what she had at her disposal led her to experience many challenging situations along her journey.

Today's scripture reveals that we have mighty, REAL power available to us ... God's power to accomplish greater things than we can even imagine. Sadly, many of us - like Dorothy - do not fully comprehend what God desires to do for us ... what He is equipping us to do through His mighty power within us.

My challenge to you today is to realize that no situation that we face is beyond the power of God that is within us. His power will get us through ... will supply our needs. We just have to recognize that WE ARE POWERFUL IN HIM!

Dear Lord, Thank You for promising to be my strength when I call on You. I ask that You allow Your mighty power to work through me ... to change me.

I thank You, my Jesus, for dying for me. I believe that You are Lord and that God raised You from the grave so that I can have eternal life.

Reflection: How could the full knowledge of having God's power at work within you enable you to handle the problems that you encounter?
