Whose Hands It's In

Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in The Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.

I recently read an analogy that is a powerful reminder to us all and certainly worth sharing today. The unknown author (slightly modified to apply today) wrote the following:

A basketball in my hands is worth about $19
A basketball in Michael Jordan's hands is
worth about $80 million
It depends whose hands it's in

A football in my hands is worth about $10
A football in Drew Brees' hands is worth $50 million
It depends whose hands it's in

A tennis racket is useless in my hands
A tennis racket in Serena Williams' hands
is a Wimbledon Championship
It depends whose hands it's in

A rod in my hands will keep away a wild animal
A rod in Moses' hands will part the mighty sea
It depends whose hands it's in

A sling shot in my hands is a kid's toy
A sling shot in David's hand is a mighty weapon.
It depends whose hands it's in

Two fish and 5 loaves of bread in my hands
is a couple of fish sandwiches.
Two fish and 5 loaves of bread in God's
hands will feed thousands

It depends whose hands it's in

Nails in my hands might produce a birdhouse
Nails in Jesus Christ's hands will produce
salvation for the entire world.
It depends whose hands it's in

As you see now it depends whose hands it's in.
So put your concerns, your worries, your fears,
your hopes, your dreams, your families and
your relationships in God's hands because

It depends whose hands it's in.

In Luke 17:33, the Bible says, "If you cling to your life, you will lose it, and if you let your life go, you will save it." I challenge you today to do as an old adage says, "Let Go and Let God." It's human nature to try to figure it all out on our own and to take control. However, when we give our situations to God, we can be confident that our lives are in perfect hands.

Most importantly, when we submit our lives to God, we are promised eternal life with Him. Even if our health fails or trouble arises, no one can take away our hope in Him.  John 10:28 says, "I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of MY HAND."

Dear Lord, I thank You that You are MORE than able to meet my every need. There is NO other like YOU! I give my life and all my situations to You!

I thank You, my Jesus, for dying for me. I believe that You are Lord and that God raised You from the grave so that I can have eternal life.
