This weekend was the first Anchored Conference hosted by the Constant Friend authors and Cross Church. It was a phenomenal experience - one in which I was both humbled and amazed at the mighty move of God that took place.
Over and over during the last two days, we were so blessed to hear words of overwhelming gratitude for the Constant Friend devotions and the powerful conference sessions. At this time, we would like to express our deep appreciation for the support of all who were in attendance.
In my ministry time, I spoke about the inception of Constant Friend, and everything that has transpired since then. In putting together my notes, I marveled that approximately 900 individuals have signed up to receive the Constant Friend emails or access it on Facebook.
Upon reflection of the sheer volume of individuals who have availed themselves to this awesome opportunity to focus on God each morning with us, I was reminded of Psalm 66:5 "Come and see what God has done. See what wonderful things He has done for His people." Rachelle, Brandon, and I realize that the impressive interest in Constant Friend is due to God's divine intervention ... not us. The only credit that we take is our response to God's call.
God has truly honored a simple gesture that was made from one friend to another. When I sent the first message to the inspiration behind Constant Friend to encourage her with God's Word when she faced a huge storm in her life, there was no thought that this gesture would one day touch so many.
My challenge to you today is to always be a willing vessel ready to fulfill all that God has for you. Realize that the little things you do for others have great potential to grow into mighty works of God. In fact, Zechariah 4:10 provides the following encouragement - "Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin..." If Our Almighty God REJOICES in the small things we do .... just imagine His reaction when our efforts multiply exponentially?
Dear Lord, I am so grateful that You are a generous God - a God who is willing to reward the efforts of His children for responding to the needs of others. I thank You for being more concerned about the intent of the effort rather than the immensity of the effort. You are truly the ANCHOR FOR OUR SOULS.
I thank You, my Jesus, for dying for me. I believe that You are Lord and that God raised You from the grave so that I can have eternal
