Getting There FAST

Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who WALK not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Conveyer

I was in a large airport this past weekend and used several of those moving walkways to accelerate my pace. These walkways look like oversized conveyer belts. The people who want to walk are instructed to walk to the left and those who want to stand stay to the right. Some people choose not to use the moving walkway and walk alongside the conveyer.

I chose to walk on it and to walk fast! I like getting to my terminal as quickly as possible just to be assured that I will NOT miss my flight.

God offers a "spiritual" moving walkway to all of us through the Holy Spirit. We have a choice. We can continue to walk on our own - at our own pace - or we can choose to WALK on a pathway "after the Spirit" as today's verse encourages.

When doing so, we are able to receive clarity, peace, healing, and ACCELERATION in our lives quicker than we could have if we had walked on our own. How does this happen? Just ask the Holy Spirit to MOVE in your life. Recognize that the Holy Spirit is part of the trinity and not just a "thing." The Holy Spirit is a friend - a gift to you - that desires to work in your life to bring comfort, wisdom, healing and direction!

Through the Holy Spirit, God makes a way where there seems to be none. In Exodus 14:15-16, the Lord instructs the Israelites to "MOVE" on, and He divides the water in the Red Sea making a dry path for them to walk on - an ACCELERATED way to cross a mighty river. However, they had to MOVE to get to the other side. Otherwise, they would have been overcome by the crashing waves with the Egyptians who were on their tails.

You cannot receive the FULLNESS of God's power by just STANDING there like those on the right side of that moving walkway in the airport.

I challenge you to daily invite the Holy Spirit to work in your life AND then to put FEET to your faith. Don't just talk about doing great things, WALK it out! By doing so, you'll never miss your "spiritual flights" in life - that is your connection from one awesome place in God to another!

Dear Holy Spirit, I invite You to work in my life. Lead me and direct me in ALL of my ways.

I thank You, my Jesus, for dying for me. I believe that You are Lord and that God raised You from the grave so that I can have eternal life.
