. What's goin' on? With Mother's Day coming in a couple of weeks, this months Island Moon Market is poised to be your one stop shop for all you need to make mom feel special! We have 30 vendors as of today and we normally pick up several more during the last week. As the weather warms up, so do the vendors increase in numbers! This month and last has given us several new vendors including a Mary Kay,Tupperware and Miche Rep! Welcome ladies! Moon On The Horizon will be with us for the first time. Wait until you see the beautiful and unique art Michelle has to offer! Hand painted shoes and faces too. We also have Boutique 1225 which earned huge brownie points with Phillip and I when they sent us samples of their goat milk soaps! The box they mailed them in even smelled good! Joan's Gems will be showcasing Patriotic Crafts and back from a break is Southwind Winery; stop by for a sample and take home a bottle of Texas Wine! Also back from a break is Fowler Marketing with all the latest in sunglass trends! On the charity side of the event we have Son Shine Sisters. Proceeds from their sales of handmade belt crosses goes to help those in need. We will also have Heartbeats Dog & Cat Rescue. Spread the word; your new best friend(s) will be found at the market this weekend! Callie's Cajun and Oscar & Mary will be on hand to satisfy those foody cravings! And of course so many others! Remember, we love vendor referrals! Once you are a participating vendor, refer a vendor and receive 20% off your booth fee (see website for details). Charity booths are always free and produce vendors are $25 for the day! I guess it is also necessary to put in a few words about the conflict between the local newspaper and the Island Moon Market. There have been many rumors spread around that are hurtful to Phillip and I. To address most of these, I placed a link on our facebook page www.facebook.com/islandmoonmarket as well as on our website www.islandmoonmarket.com Once on our website or Facebook page locate and click on the link, it will take you to a PDF that lays out the facts surrounding the conflict. Hopefully this will knock out all the chatter and allow everyone to move on. A couple of things I heard over the weekend: We (obviously) are not out of business, we did win the case (not the other way around) and we have not increased our rates! It's business as usual for Phillip and Darcie Mason and the Island Moon Market! It's going to be a great summer! PS: Check out the MEET THE VENDORS section below to get to know two of our favorite vendors! Mention you saw the Moon Market Gazette and their bio for a special offer from each.... |
