Girls Basketball Fall Short in 2nd Round of CIF

The Girls Varsity Basketball team traveled to Lynwood High School this past Saturday to take on one the traditional girls basketball powerhouses. The girls led at halftime, but struggled to score in the third. However, in Griffin spirit, they battled back in the fourth to make it a two-point game with a few minutes left. After a few exchanges between the teams, Los Al hit a key three-pointer. But, the team ran out of time and fell just short, 50-47. Congratulations on a great season.

Boys Soccer Dominates in CIF Opener, Win 3-1

Boys Soccer left no doubt about their intentions of going far into the CIF Soccer playoffs. An early goal in the first period followed by a scoring onslaught in the second half secured the 3-1 win. There were several other breakaways that resulted in near misses. The Griffin defense did not allow Notre Dame many scoring chances. The team travels to MLK High School in Riverside for their next match this Wednesday.
