Los Al Varsity Song Wins Nationals!!!

The Los Al Varsity Song team traveled to Florida over the last weekend of January and competed as one of the top 50 teams to participate in the Nationals Competition. After several grueling rounds, the hard work paid off as our Lady Griffins nailed their final routine to perfection and sealed the championship. The image above captures their reactions as their First Place Win was announced. The image below was taken after the presentation of the trophies, medals, and special jackets. Congratulations to Coach Jen Ramirez and all of our fabulous Varsity Song members for representing Los Al.

All District Band and Orchestra Festival a Huge Hit

This past Saturday was the annual All District Band and Orchestra Festival held at Los Alamitos High School. Students from the elementary, middle, and high schools played a range of contemporary and Jazz standards as well as traditional and modern classical pieces.

Teachers from each of the schools conducted the student ensembles during a packed-house day of awesome music. Several students were featured as soloists that included students playing difficult classical passages on violin to Jazz saxophone improvisation.
