Between the amazing day of online giving that was Kentucky Gives Day, our generous matching donors, and the tremendous response to our November mailer, KORE Academy has raised over $21,000!!

 

The impact on our students, teachers and programs is immense! We will be able to continue the success of our 1:1 iPad program with the purchase of two additional iPads, cases, and apps! Our innovative cognitive skills training program will benefit from new materials.
 
Your contributions will also help us fund teacher professional development, curriculum and our drama program. Future newsletters will provide examples of your giving at work!

One of the first things we hear when  parents are considering KORE Academy is that their child hates school. Yet, we know that students can be successful and love school if learning is adapted to the way their minds work!
 
Two weeks ago a third grader arrived at school late. His mother explained that she had been planning to keep him home due to a fall the night before. This student wouldn't hear of it! He begged to be brought to KORE. "This is new for us," his mom said. "He never wanted to go to school before!"

This is just one step in discarding the disheartening trail of failure that many KORE students have experienced and laying the building blocks for confidence, self-awareness, and success!

Middle school classes created 23 shoe boxes!

 

It's fun to receive and open gifts! KORE Academy students discovered that they may be even more fun to GIVE. In this holiday season where there is so much conspicuous consumption, we wanted to inspire our students with the habit of giving back. Each class participated by filling shoe boxes with toys, school supplies and toiletries to be distributed to children around the world through Operation Christmas Child.

Our students are being challenged to be their very best and are rising to the occasion! Our amazing teachers have dedicated themselves to supporting our mission each and every day.
