TAFundraising
Annual Fund Mailing

As you all know, KORE Academy is an amazing school with some pretty terrific teachers and programs. Most of us can point to numerous instances where our kids lives (and ours) have been changed for the better. It might be that moment when your child realizes she is an artist or he gains the confidence that comes with being in a play. What you might NOT know is that it costs about 25% more to educate your student at KORE Academy than we receive in tuition annually.

The reality is that in order to keep changing lives, we need to raise additional funds. To that end, this year, we are using a different approach to furthering our plans for our kids and their future.

Kentucky Gives Day
On December 1, KORE Academy will be participating in KY Gives Day, a 24-hour online giving event. Beginning at midnight EST on Dec. 1, you can go online at kygives.org and make a tax deductible donation to support KORE Academy!

Hard Copy Mailer
You will also receive a letter requesting donations to KORE Academy. We invite every member of our community to become donors, small or large. Every dollar donated, either via KY Gives Day or through the mailer, translates into meaningful progress for our students socially, behaviorally and academically
.

Challenge Gift Program
For every dollar raised through the end of December, KORE has two donors who will match your gift, dollar for dollar up to $7,000! Our overall goal, with your help, is to raise $20,000 to support curriculum, technology, teacher professional development & salaries and special programs like reading and cognitive skills training.
KORE Academy is committed to continuing our mission of changing lives. We encourage you to give whatever you can and to use social media to engage others in our story. Thank you!

Community Service

KORE Academy engages our students in projects that provide them with a sense of civic responsibility and an opportunity to help others.

In October, KORE families came together under the direction of reading specialist, Becky Malone, to donate backpacks and shoes to Waves of Mercy, a local charity dedicated to improving the lives of children in Port-de-Paix, Haiti.

PMBC Backpack Program

This month, our students are gathering non-perishable food to donate to the Porter Memorial Baptist Church backpack program. This program fills weekend backpacks full of food for students at William Wells Brown Elementary School in Lexington and ensures that children don't go hungry when school is not in session.

KORE Academy is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS CASI), an accreditation division of AdvancED.
