DYNA-TYMES
April 2013: eNews from Dynasplint Systems, Inc.

It's WRIST month in this issue of Dyna-Tymes.  Read below for the benefits of incorporating the Wrist Dynasplint System into a patient's therapy program.
Spring is Here...and in the Dynasplint System

That's no typo!  The Dynasplint Systems are designed to provide a low-load, prolonged-duration stretch which is achieved with the bilateral spring tension system.  This design applies an equal amount of force across the joint axis, maintaining proper anatomical alignment.  All of this together provides an adjunct to physical therapy that will help the patient recover quickly and safely--getting them back to their favorite activities.

Now that spring is here so many of us will be heading outdoors to begin our gardening or to enjoy a favorite sport.  It's all easier and more enjoyable when we have good range of motion in our joints.

Are you treating a patient that suffered a fracture from a fall this winter?  As soon as they've been cleared for PROM, a Dynasplint should be prescribed to optimize the therapy program.  The biomechanical design of the Dynasplint System closely mimics the therapist's hands making the use of the splint easy and comfortable for the patient.  The gentle stretch allows the patient an additional at-home stretch for when they're not in the therapy clinic.  The early application can reduce time and cost associated with range of motion rehabilitation.

Unit of the Month: Wrist Dynasplint System

Wrist Dynasplint Systems deliver therapeutic stretching for extension or flexion to the wrist joint. Our uniquely designed unit can improve and restore lost range of motion caused by fractures (Colles', distal radius and others), open reduction internal fixation (ORIF), tendon and ligament repairs, dislocations, burns, wrist arthroplasties, rheumatoid arthritis, head trauma, spinal cord injuries, and other orthopedic and neurological related conditions.

They are available in adult and pediatric sizes and are appropriate for the orthopedic and neurologically involved patient.
