Important VPK Reminders
We are only a couple weeks away from the new VPK school year and we have some important reminders for VPK providers.

Providers Submitting VPK Certificates of Eligibility 
If you have not already done so, VPK providers must submit all VPK Certificates of Eligibility to the Coalition as soon as possible. In order to open a new VPK classroom, you must have at least 4 students enrolled per classroom through the ELC for the 2014-2015 program year. Once we receive these documents we will begin enrolling children into the database.

VPK Registration
Please continue to remind parents to register children for the VPK program. If parents wait until the last minute to register, their VPK Certificate of Eligibility will not be processed in time for the first day of school. 

Parents have 3 easy ways to register for VPK:
  • Online at www.VPKPinellas.net - Parents must upload all supporting documentation to the online system. 
  • Schedule an appointment at one of our offices by contacting 727-400-4411.
  • Attend a VPK Round Up event.  The next VPK Round Up is this week on Thursday, August 7 at our offices in Clearwater and St. Petersburg. Click here for complete details.  Round Up events are first come first serve walk in days, no appointments needed. Parents may be able to leave with a VPK Certificate of Eligibility that day!
Don't forget to remind parents, in order to register they must bring required documentation:
  • Proof of Age
    Example: original birth certificate
  • Proof of Residency
    Example: recent utility bill with parent name and physical address or Florida Driver's license with current address.
