Lew Williams Center for Early Learning
An article was published in today's issue of the St. Petersburg Tribune regarding the Lew Williams Center for Early Learning. This is a community collaboration between the Pinellas County School District, the Juvenile Welfare Board, Lutheran Services of Florida, R' Club and the Early Learning Coalition of Pinellas County. The center will open in August at the St. Petersburg campus of the Pinellas Technical Education Center.

We would like to clarify the following statement in the article:

"The Early Learning Coalition will pay R' Club for salaries..."

The Lew Williams Center for Early Learning will provide School Readiness and Voluntary Prekindergarten programs beginning in the fall. The Coalition will only reimburse this provider in accordance with the same School Readiness and VPK agreements and rates used for all of our providers. In building their budget, the district designated SR and VPK funds to cover the salaries. The Coalition is not providing specific funds for personnel.
