School Readiness Curriculum Submission Process

Florida's Office of Early Learning (OEL) has distributed the following memo in regards to the School Readiness Curriculum Approval Process for 2014-2015. 

Please Note: Providers interested in submitted a curriculum for review must do so by March 26, 2014.  The list of approved curriculum will be released from OEL in May 2014. SR providers must implement use of an approved curriculum by July 1, 2014. See the timeline document for other important dates.

SUBJECT: School Readiness Curriculum Approval Process for 2014-2015

 

Florida law, Section 1002.825(2) (l), Florida Statutes, requires the Office of Early Learning (OEL) to adopt a list of approved curricula that meet school readiness program performance standards and to establish a process for reviewing and approving a provider's curriculum to assess whether it meets the performance standards. OEL is currently revising Rule 6M-4.710, Florida Administrative Code, School Readiness Program Curricula, to reflect the process to be used for approval of school readiness curricula for 2014-15. To begin, we are requesting that interested applicants submit their curriculum for review by March 26, 2014.
