THS DOES THE HARLEM SHAKE
 | |
Gage Angle, moments before the Harlem Shake is about to begin.
|
Students from all grades gathered in the gym before classes Thursday to participate in what has become an internet phenomenon. Just what is it? It's an internet viral trend that started a few weeks ago. Videos last 31 seconds and features an excerpt from the song "Harlem Shake". The video begins with one person (often wearing a helmet or mask) dancing alone for 15 seconds. The dancer is surrounded by other people who are not moving. When the song changes, the video cuts to the entire crowd doing a crazy dance for the next 15 seconds.
Moreover, in the second half of the video, people often wear crazy outfits or costumes while holding strange props.
 | Dressed in costumes and using light sabers, THS students do the Harlem Shake.
|
 | Only something like the Harlem Shake would get students to school by 7:20 a.m.
