Thibodaux College Gala
100 Years of Service
On Friday January 11 at 6:30 P.M., E. D. White Catholic High School will host a "Brothers of the Sacred Heart Gala" to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the opening of Thibodaux College and a century of continuous service of the Brothers in Thibodaux. Tickets for the event are $15 per person, and can be obtained by visiting or calling the Advancement Office at (985) 449-1859 by January 7, 2013. Tickets will not be sold at the door. Please contact the office if you would like to share any Brothers of the Sacred Heart or Thibodaux College memorabilia for the Gala. Your item will be returned to you. We are also looking for anyone who would like to share their favorite memories of Thibodaux College. The office will be closed for the Christmas holidays December 21, 2012 - January 4, 2013, and resume Monday, January 7. A school-wide Mass will also be held that morning starting at 9:30. |

Alum Joins EDW Faculty
Pictured is alum Kelly Granier from the Class of 2009, who has returned to the E. D. White family as a teacher in the science department. She recently graduated from Nicholls State University with a B.A. in Education.

Christmas Spirit
Jennifer McDonald's homeroom class had a pizza party for lunch on Wednesday after making their goal of raising funds for the E. D. White Christmas Project.

Seniors Awarded
Congratulations to seniors Olivia Coffman and B.J. Gros on being recognized as E. D. White's Wendy's High School Heisman winners. The Wendy's High School Heisman Program looks for all types of high-achieving seniors from more than 29,000 public and private high schools who participate in a wide range of sports, who excel in school, and who help by joining community activities.

Basketball
At the Ecole Classique tournament Friday night, the varsity boys basketball team defeated De La Salle 42-31 in the semifinals. The team then moved to the finals round Saturday but lost a hard fought match to Dunham 51-43. The Cardinals will return to action Friday when they host Vandebilt starting at 6:00 P.M.
Congratulations to junior Logan Gravois, who was selected to the All-Tournament Team.
The varsity girls basketball team finished 3rd in the Hanson Tournament over the weekend. The Cardinals defeated Franklin 52-25, and Patterson 69-29, but fell to Teurlings Catholic 34-25. Next action for the team is at home Thursday against Hanson Memorial at 5:30 P.M. |
Soccer
In girls soccer, the Cardinals tied Archbishop Chapelle 2-2 in New Orleans Thursday. The team is now 3-4-4 for the season.
