The Rotary Club of Wauchope's Fundraiser is coming up on Saturday 13 April 2013 with a gold coin donation to attend and net proceeds going to the Wauchope Hospital palliative Care Unit. The featured performers are the Brisbane Water Brass Band and there will be 35 Band Members in attendance at the Show at the Wauchope RSL Club. Click here for more details!
It is so great to see business and community partnerships: "The Westport Club, in partnership with Dymocks Children's Charities are once again inspiring children of the Port Macquarie-Hastings region to 'fall in love with reading' with $14,000 in book donations. This presentation today of 885 books to 4 schools, is a significant investment to the Club's ongoing commitment to Literacy. The books will have a major impact on each of the school's library resources and assist kids to reach an appropriate level of literacy. Dymocks Children's Charities and The Westport Club know that literacy is not just about reading, it is the foundation for learning. Literacy exerts a huge influence over a person's quality of life."
