School Calendar 2014-2015

Ed Condon and Martha Ryan-Toye presented the proposed District 90 2014-15 school year calendar. There are few changes in comparison with the 2013-14 calendar, though Spring Break is proposed for the week of March 30, 2015, in order to accommodate PARCC testing and align with the anticipated Oak Park River Forest High School break schedule.

Instructional Specialist Presentation

Martha Ryan-Toye introduced the three Instructional Specialists, two of whom are new to the District this year. Jolene Lorimer (Roosevelt) worked with the District last year to pilot the Instructional Specialist model.  Michael Czerniawski (Lincoln), Kathleen Fleming (Willard) and Ms. Lorimer presented information about the purpose of their work within the three schools, as well as their collaborative efforts among the schools. View the presentation by clicking here.

They provided a progress report that outlined their activities accomplished to date, including building teacher capacity, providing student support services related to Social Emotional Learning and Response to Intervention, supporting Common Core implementation, and strengthening collaboration among staff within each school, as well as between schools.
