Our brand Name change from CruiseOne to Dream Vacations is not an April fools joke! In just a few days (April 5th) we "go live" with a newly designed website. In the future, everything (our reservation confirmations, invoices, weekly marketing emails etc.) will have the name "Dream Vacations." Though re-branded, we remain a CruiseOne company and will still have access to all the great promotions you have come to expect. Actually, we will have more!

Although we have always been able to book more than cruises, our new name, Dream Vacations, will be a way for people to know we can book more than just cruise vacations.

Our featured destination in this issue is both a destination - CUBA - and a new cruise line -FATHOM - that was just approved to sail there from Miami, FL. A couple of short videos are included in the article which we hope you enjoy so you can learn more about this unique experience and a totally different type of vacation - an Impact Voyage

You will notice we have a new section called "Thought of the Month."

We hope you enjoy this as much as "and a little humor to end with......"

Please do cast a vote and let us know if you do like this idea after reading our "Thought of the Month."

Sincerely,

Time is like a river. You cannot touch the water twice, because the flow that has passed will never pass again. Enjoy every moment of life!

Featured Destination

The Caribbean has long been a very popular cruise destination with so many wonderful islands, history and cultures. However, on any itinerary, Americans have only been able to see the largest island -Cuba - from a distance as ships had to bypass the island.

Now, with the improved relations between the US and Cuba, on March 21st 2016, the Cuban government formally approved FATHOM, as the first cruise line authorized to sail from the United States to Cuba. After more than 50 years, cruise travel to Cuba has again become a reality.

The Secret Words for April is Impact Voyage

Smiley laughing
and a little humor to end with......

As a bagpiper, I play many gigs. Recently, I was asked by a funeral director to play at a graveside of a homeless man. He had no family or friends, so the service was to be at a pauper's cemetery in the back country.

As I was not familiar with the backwoods, I got lost and, being a typical man, I didn't stop for directions.

I finally arrived an hour late and saw the funeral guy had evidently gone and the hearse was nowhere to be seen. There were only the diggers and crew left and they were eating lunch. I felt badly and apologized for being late. I went to the side of the grave and looked down to see the vault lid was already in place. I didn't know what to do, so I started to play.

The workers put down their lunches and began to gather around. I played out my heart and soul for the poor man had no family or friends. I played like I never played before for this homeless man.

And as I played "Amazing Grace", the workers began to weep. They wept, I wept, we all wept together. When I finished, I picked up my bagpipes and started for my car. though my head was hung low, my heart was warm.

As I opened the door of my car, I heard one of the workers say,
"I never seen anything like that before and I've been putting in septic tanks for twenty years."

Apparently I'm still lost....it's a man thing.

Until next month, enjoy and stay safe.
