Our Welcome Home Survey asks you to rate the ship, food, entertainment, ports and excursions. We only use someone's name when given permission to do so. Please take the time to complete these on your return from a trip. Thank You.
Because we were not able to send out any Welcome Home Surveys last month while traveling, we only have one recommendation to write about this month - ours. We did a 7-night cruise from Los Angeles on the Carnival Miracle to Puerto Vallarta and Cabo San Lucas, MX. We rate the food, entertainment, service and everything about this ship a 5.
Puerto Vallarta did have some criminal activity early in the month but it was really only a minor incident in an outlying area, not in the city itself, and it did not affect any tourists. The media reported it as a major issue which it really wasn't.
Although Royal Caribbean, Disney and Holland America chose to bypass this port of call on their itineraries, Carnival still made the call to the port. We are glad they did!
The locals were very pleasant and the vendors were not as pushy as you might find on many Caribbean Islands.
We did book an excursion through Carnival called Rhythms of the Night. It was a 5-hour excursion and included a boat ride there and back across Bandera Bay to a secluded location on the side of a mountain, an open bar on both the boat and at the venue itself, an excellent buffet dinner which included steaks, fish, Mexican foods, desserts, salads, soup and more. The wait staff was also exceptional.
Following dinner there was time to go by the water to either swim or get our feet wet. Then as darkness approached, we were led to an outdoor arena for a very unique show. We really can't explain it because there was so much to it, but should we ever get back to this port, we would do it again, it was that good.
The Secret Word for June is naturally RHYTHM.
