January 2015
Greetings!

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL
As we welcome the arrival of 2015, we have been working hard to come up with new ideas, contests and promotions for your enjoyment in the coming year.

As a start, we have given CNAV a new look

and created a new franchise logo.

We would love to hear your comments on both.

However, your old friends - our Monthly Customer Appreciation Drawing, our monthly Secret Word bonus, and the last section every month, ...a little humor to end with will remain!

With all the promotions offered by the cruise lines for "WAVE Season" (the "official" cruise line kick-off to the new year), we are joining in by doubling our January Customer Appreciation Prize to $50 instead of $25.

Good news and Sad news

We want to welcome Tim Dewing's wife Diane back to our team now that she has retired from her previous position in a related field.

We also are sorry to say goodbye to a couple of our agents. Sherri Peck who had been with us since Richman, O'Hare & Associates began as a CruiseOne franchise in 2009 and Steve Stuart, who was a client before becoming an agent several years ago.  We wish them both well.

To any of Sherri or Steve's clients reading this newsletter - we will be more than pleased to assist you going forward with your travel/cruise requests. Also be assured that we will also assist those of you for any trips you have booked for 2015.

Please do not hesitate to call Al & Helen at (561) 899-3206 (normal hours are 9-9 daily). We are available 7 days a week and if you can't reach us by phone, send an email as we might be on a cruise ourselves but we do check email accounts daily while at sea.

Our entire team of dedicated professionals look forward to helping you plan many more memorable vacations in this and the future years ahead.

Please send any suggestions or ideas of things you would like to see in CNAV in the future or comments you wish to share via email to arichman@cruiseone.com or hohare@cruiseone.com. We'd love to hear from you.

Best wishes for a wonderful 2015

SAIL WITH AL & HELEN IN 2016
ON A SPECIAL NOSTALGIA CRUISE

In December 1997 (over the Christmas Holiday), we took our first cruise on the Royal Caribbean Majesty of the Seas in an Ocean View cabin. It was a Western Caribbean itinerary (see shirt picture).

We always recommend to our clients or anyone we meet who may be taking their first cruise, that they should   purchase the Welcome Aboard picture as that first cruise memory will last for a lifetime, and it can only happen once.

This is the Welcome Aboard picture from our first cruise.

Little did we know when we booked that cruise in '97 that we would be "hooked" and cruising would become our primary vacation choice, and then in January 2002, we would become travel agents and primarily Cruise Specialists helping others enjoy what we were and continue to be passionate about.

It is possible, had we never taken that first cruise, we would not have had the opportunity to meet and get to know so many of you who are now part of our "cruise family."

The Majesty's maiden voyage was April 4, 1992 and since arriving in S. Florida, she has been a part of the Port of Miami landscape for over 20 years. At that time, she was considered a "Mega-Ship" at 74,000 GT  (most ships built today are well over 130,000 GT or double the size) and she was one of the most modern cruise ships of her day.

Once she leaves Royal's fleet, it will almost be like losing a member of our family. All that will remain will be our memories of that first cruise and the ship that led to what we do today in helping others create lifetime memories!

Although we have been on her many times for short get-away weekends (living in S. Florida), knowing she is to be retired, we decided it would only be fitting for us to be on board for her final Miami voyage on April 29, 2016 - a Friday to Monday weekend getaway.

When we sailed on the Majesty for the second time, after we had sailed on other ships and cruise lines (and even had a suite on one), we could not believe how small our cabin actually was!

Why do we want to sail on this old ship again when so much more is being offered by newer ships? Because, she has special memories for us personally!

We will plan some special surprises during the cruise and hope many of you who are part of our "cruise family" will join us and help say good-bye to this special vessel.

We have actually booked the same ocean view cabin that we had on that first cruise (#7530)!

Being on an inaugural sailing of a new ship is a special occurrence and the same can be said for a final voyage of an old one.

The more people we book into our "group block," the more surprises we can plan.

We expect the ship to be sold out for this final voyage months before it is time to depart as this happens when ships are being retired after many years of service

when tens of thousands have sailed on her - many like us for their first cruise as well.

We hope you decide to join us.

Call us at (561) 899-3206 to secure your reservation

$50 per cabin on board-credit is the first surprise.

NOTE: If you do not live in Florida, why not plan for something on either end of this weekend cruise and extend your vacation time?

....and a little humor to end with

EVER WONDER?

- Why does the sun lighten our hair, but darken our skin?

- Why is "abbreviated" such a long word?

- Why don't you ever see the headline "Psychic Wins Lottery?"

- Why is it that doctors call what they do "practice?"

- Why is it that to stop Windows, you have to click on "Start?"

- Why is lemon juice made with artificial flavor, and dish washing liquid made with real lemons?

- Why is the time of day with the slowest moving traffic called rush hour?

- Why isn't there mouse-flavored cat food?

- When dog food is new with improved tasting, who tests it?

- Why didn't Noah swat those two mosquitoes?

- Why don't sheep shrink when it rains?

- Why are they called apartments when they are all stuck together?

- If con is the opposite of pro, is Congress the opposite of progress?

They say laughter is good for the soul so we hope you have a joy filled month ahead.

 Some of Our
First Cruise Memorabilia

Although there are more pictures from that cruise, here are just a few of the mementos we have.

Hanging on our office wall are the wine tasters we were given when attending the Wine Tasting event on that first cruise. We really did try to do everything offered that awesome week.

Al plans to wear the T-shirt pictured above from that first cruise. As there is more of Al now then there was back then, it could prove to be interesting and worth the cost of the cruise.

If you have been to our office, you have seen our model ship collection (now over 50) of ships we have personally sailed on and it all began with this one.
