Class Repsreps
We're looking for more Class Reps! The Alumni Association is keen to make the Class Rep program an integral part of the Association by expanding the initiative to include more alumni. The duties of a Class Rep include keeping in contact with your fellow classmates, sharing news about your Class with the Alumni Association, and helping us promote our alumni events. If you're interested in joining our growing Class Rep team, please contact Meri Kimura.

We are calling again for nominations for the 2015 Alumni Awards. For previous winners, visit our Alumni Homepage.

Mackenzie Awards
Established in 2007, the Mackenzie Awards recognize Collingwood alumni who have exhibited outstanding excellence in one of the four strands (Academics, Arts, Athletics or Service).

Alumni Association Honours Award
Established in 2013, the Honours Awards recognize outstanding accomplishments as a result of business or professional achievements, or the display of great courage in the face of adversity.

Alumni Association Volunteer Award
Established in 2013, the Volunteer Awards recognize service to the Alumni Association and/or to Collingwood School.

If you wish to nominate a Collingwood alum for any of the above awards, please send in a completed Nomination Form by November 1, 2015.
Class Notescnoteh
Yasmeen Qureshi '00 reporting for PBS

Yasmeen is a broadcast reporter, producer and shooter based in New York City. Her reporting has taken her all over the United States and abroad on stories ranging from immigration to the habeas corpus rights of terrorism suspects.

On September 1, PBS aired a broadcast about ISIS, with Yasmeen reporting from Tunis, Tunisia.

David Maurice Smith '91 in the Balkans

David is a photojournalist currently based in Sydney, Australia. His focus is largely on social issues, on which he has reported in publications including The New York Times, Rolling Stone, The Guardian, Wall Street Journal, and the Globe and Mail. In the past year he has worked on several refugee specific stories in the Middle East, Asia and most recently, Europe. He just spent three weeks in the Balkans covering the refugee crisis. David's photographs and articles from that time were publicized in The Guardian and the Sydney Herald.

Congrats to Emily-Anne Griffiths '06 and Travis King '05!

These longtime sweethearts finally tied the knot on September 23, 2015. Congratulations to both of you!

Emily-Anne and Travis were wed on Galiano Island with many fellow Collingwood alumni attending, including: Geoff Pedlow, Malcolm Ert, Nick Miller, Andrew Chalmers, Andrew Scott, Taylor Topliss, (all from '05), Desiree Evanshen '06, Hannah Bryant '06, Ben Kent '03, and many more.
Rachel Davidson '09

Rachel graduated Magna cum Laude from Pomona College in California in 2014, with a major in English, a minor in Japanese, and Phi Beta Kappa distinction. She was subsequently accepted into the Japan Exchange and Teaching Programme and is currently in her second year teaching English at four elementary schools in Ishikari City, Japan. Now fluent in Japanese, Rachel plans lessons with the teachers, volunteers at international exchange events, gives bilingual book readings at the library, travels throughout Japan and Asia, and performs in a local taiko drumming group.
Nigma Talib '91

Dr. Nigma Talib is a world-renowned Naturopathic Doctor, medical aesthetician and leading authority on holistic health. She has opened up clinics in the UK, US and Canada and currently travels between her two clinics in London and New York. Her areas of expertise range from ageing skin, digestive complaints, infertility, hormone disorders, chronic skin problems and sleep disorders. Dr. Nigma regularly appears in the national press as a leading authority on skincare issues and holistic health. Her book, Reverse the Signs of Ageing, is available for pre-order now, and she will be back in Canada in January 2016 for her book release.

Class Reunionsreunion
We were delighted to host the Class of 1995 at the Beach House Restaurant in West Vancouver on September 25th for their 20 year reunion. The group enjoyed catching up with lost classmates and former teacher, Julia Clarke.
